Launching this summer, You, Me & Berlin is an exciting new initiative. The project aims to connect communities, celebrate diverse neighbourhoods and help visitors. Its concise and welcoming motto You don’t have to be from Berlin to be a Berliner focuses on leisure travellers who are interested in discovering the city.
Creative events in Berlin
Thoroughly modern and cosmopolitan, the German capital is home to renowned universities, famous orchestras and fascinating museums. In addition, Berlin’s numerous festivals, varied entertainment and diverse nightlife attract visitors from all over Europe. The city runs an active programme of sporting fixtures and competitions, while its charming and contemporary urban setting has brought added success as a production location for international films.
By connecting guests and hosts, You Me & Berlin shares information, helps people and facilitates trust and friendship. Residents and visitors are able to find out what is happening, attend creative events in Berlin and explore some of the city’s hidden gems.
Participating in You, Me & Berlin
Everyone is invited to be part of You, Me & Berlin. Project organisers are encouraging residents of Germany’s capital city to get involved by becoming a project host at Hotel Berlin, Berlin. Here, they can meet other like-minded people and – if they wish – share their unique story with visitors and other Berliners alike.
The invitation to participate in these new Berlin happenings extends to people of all lifestyles; the first simple and straightforward step is to sign up via the micro-website. Once Berliners have signed up online and become a host, there is the opportunity to personalise one of the Hotel Berlin, Berlin’s rooms with favourite photographs and memories. Hotel Berlin, Berlin is situated in Nollendorfplatz, a popular square in the central Schöneberg district.
Hotel Berlin, Berlin
At the Hotel Berlin, Berlin seven hundred modern and superbly equipped guest rooms guarantee visitors a comfortable stay. The hotel is only a five-minute walk from Nollendorfplatz train station, while a conveniently located bus station is just opposite the hotel. Services to the city centre depart every five to six minutes or so.
Guests staying at the Hotel Berlin can look forward to attractive décor, with diverse room themes ranging from the tastefully conventional to the fashionably trendy. Outside, a beautiful decked garden area with loungers boasts lush greenery and relaxing water features. Some of the super-spacious premium rooms have balconies, as well as dimmable lighting, soundproof windows and Nespresso coffee machines.
Berlin art events
As part of helping visitors to discover Berlin’s attractions and explore off the beaten track, the You, Me & Berlin project wants to provide insightful assistance and warm memories of the authentic, urban Berlin. Hosts are encouraged to help local people and guests by recommending the best Berlin art events, places to have lunch (or dinner) and theatres to visit. There should be plenty of ideas and suggestions for things to do on Sundays, too!
